It’s All Black

This day in history the Penny Black was the world’s first postage stamp to be issued. The Penny Black was issued in the United Kingdom which is why the stamps of the UK do not have to show the country name on them…………..the perks of being first!

Anyway let’s all have a black cocktail to celebrate:-

Don’t forget the Black Ice Martini

2 shots vodka
2 shots black sambuca
¼ shot crème de menthe

Shake all of the ingredients together with ice and strain into a cocktail glass to serve.

Then there’s Black Magic

4 parts vodka
2 parts coffee liqueur
1-2 dashes lemon juice

Stir all of the ingredients together in a mixing glass and serve in an old-fashioned glass over ice cubes.
